My mission - To help you and your organisation take action on climate change

We all have a role to play in tackling climate change. If you want to know what you and your organisation can do to have maximum impact in reducing your carbon emissions then you're in the right place.

My name is Caroline Harmon. After working for more than two decades in the environmental charity sector, I began delivering Carbon Literacy training in 2019.

Carbon Literacy training takes you through the science and impacts of climate change and, crucially, shows you what practical steps you can take in your context to create the biggest cut in emissions possible. It is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project.

Today, I'm proud to say I've provided Carbon Literacy training to around 900 individuals from businesses, charities, community groups and local authorities across the UK.

 Why This is My Mission

Climate Change is happening

 Hot temperature icon

The average global surface temperature is approximately 1.1°C warmer than it was when the industrial revolution began.

 Global warming icon

The last 8 years on record (Up to the end of 2022) have been the hottest years on record.

 Industrial factory icon

Humans are causing it. Since the 1850's we've been burning through fossil fuels a million times faster than they were created. This has led to the temperature rises we're seeing.

It's bad

 Wildfire icon

According to the UN, Climate-related factors take around 13 million lives every year (for context: 525,000 people die each year due to armed conflict).

We're already seeing increased incidents of drought and flooding in the UK.

 Facemask icon

Over 90% of people alive today are breathing unhealthily polluted air, according to the UN.

We can solve this if we take urgent action

We still have time to limit the impact of climate change. However, it is going to take more than individual action. Organisations of all shapes and sizes need to step up to the plate to do their part in reducing CO2 emissions. This is why I am proud of the role I play in our move towards a better future. My Carbon Literacy education allows organisations to take the necessary steps and go on to become a model for their industry.

Only by educating ourselves and working together can we prevent a climate breakdown. Contact me today to find out how I can help your organisation play a role, or book one of my Carbon Literacy training courses. Get in touch to find out more I can help your organisation do its part in working towards a greener and safer tomorrow.
